How to choose a marble

How to choose a marble

Marble decoration is favored by many consumers.
The marble’s atmosphere, rough, noble,
and elegant style makes people fall in love at first sight.
Generally used in floor paving, wall, cabinet countertops, window sills, etc. more.
Natural marble, you need to master some know-how when purchasing,
so that you can make a correct judgment in an instant.

One listen:listen to the percussive sound of the marble. Generally speaking, marbles with good quality, dense and uniform interiors and no micro-cracks will have a crisp and pleasant knocking sound. On the contrary, if there are micro-cracks in the marble or the contact between particles becomes loose due to weathering, the knocking sound will be rough and dull.

Second try:use a simple test method to test the quality of marble. Usually drop a small drop of ink on the back of the stone. If the ink quickly disperses and leaches, it means that the internal particles of the stone are loose or there are microscopic cracks, and the quality of the stone is not good. On the contrary, if the ink drops stay in place, it means The stone is dense and good in texture. In the selection of finished slabs, because the raw materials of stone are natural, it is impossible to have the same texture, and the level of craftsmanship in mining and processing is also different. Most stone materials are divided into grades, and many distributors also price based on quality. However, there are also a few who do not distinguish between them and deceive consumers as shoddy.

Three views: Observe the surface structure of the stone with the naked eye. Generally speaking, the uniform fine material structure stone has a fine texture, which is a good product of the stone; the coarse grain and unequal grain structure stone has a poor appearance effect, uneven mechanical properties, and a slightly poorer quality. In addition, due to the influence of geology, some fine pulsations and micro-cracks are often produced in natural stone. The stone is most likely to break along these parts and should be removed. As for the lack of edges and corners, it will affect the appearance, so you should pay special attention to it when choosing.
Four: measure the size of the stone. So as not to affect the splicing, or cause the patterns, patterns, and lines to be deformed after splicing, and affect the decorative effect.
